Children with video games
Video game is a very popular type of game. Children can
spend a lot of time in front of television or computer screen to play. A study
conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 2,032 children between the
ages of 3 years to 12 years are most often playing video games or computer
games. It was found 73 per cent of boys aged 8 years to 10 years on average
spend hour of game play per day and nearly 68 percent of children are 12 years
to 14 years. Addicted to playing video games can have a negative impact,
especially in child development, psychology, mindset, and social health of
children.
Firstly, a lot of video games
containing elements of violence and immoral actions that can make children
imitate the actions in real life. Violence in games is more dangerous, because
the children involved in these interactions. Heroes who commit violence in the
game is never punished and tend to be appreciated, so that the child could be
argued that violence is something that is true. Children who spend a lot of
time playing video game have more
aggressive personalities and tend to behave poorly with the surrounding
environment.
The other reason, play video
games all the time make children have little or no friends in the neighborhood.
They prefer to play video games instead of playing with their friends. If a child used to play video games,
they will sit down excessive activity. This can lead to excess weight and also
spasm in the muscles because they rarely perform physical activities such as
sports. Stooped posture or bent, this is due to the irregular sitting position
in front of the television or computer screen.
